FACTORY IMPROVEMENTS

NEW CONCRETE FLOORS ADDITIONAL CHURN Taking advantage of the slack season workmen are at present busily , engaged effecting improvements to the Opotiki Dairy Association's factoy. With the assistance of two drills the surface of the concrete floor in the buttermaking room has been torn up and the work of laying a fresh surface lias been commenced. New drain channels have also been put down. Two concrete walls cf a room on the southern side of the butter room are being removed to make room for a new churn which will shortly be installed. This, will make provision for the steadily increasing output 01. the factory. The work is being push-* ed ahead as quickly as possible in order that the normal working of the factory will be interfered with as little as possible, and the additional,, churn will assist in coping with the large output during the flush of the season.
