NOTHING on estimates LEAGUE’S DISAPPOINTMENT Keen disappointment that the Government has made no provision on the estimates for the extension of the railway from Taneatua. to Opotiki was expressed at a meeting of the Opotiki Railway League held this morning. 31 r A. N. Davies, president of the League presided, and the meeting unanimously decided to' send the following telegram to . 3lr A. G. Hultquist, 31. P. for the Ray of Plenty:— “Opotiki Railway League exceedingly ■ disappointed nothing on estimates for Opotiki-Taneatua railway extension. League would definite statement Government’s intention. Please confer Prime 3liuister. Will have important bearing coming election.”
