One hundred and fourteen dairy heifers came forward comprising four separate herds. A very high average price was maintained throughout the sale and likely looking forward cows sold at rates comparable more than favourably with - recent figures. The top price mode was £11; other good forward sorts realising £9 10s to £lO 10s; later culvers. £7 15s to £9 ss. October culvers £6 to £7 10s; cows with calves running at foot having calved up to six weeks ago were quoted at a very satisfactory figure of £-1 15s. others making from' £3 to £4 12s Gd.
