The sum of £1500; for additions to the Opotiki Post Office, was included ini the Public Works Estimates submitted to the House of Representatives. Meeting of Motorists. A meeting of members of the Automobile Association ((Auckland), and interested motorists will be held in the Parish Hall on Tuesday next at 8 p.m. The., president, Mr E. G. Farrell, will deliver an address of vital importance to motorists. Coloured films will also be screened at the meeting. ; Concrete Footpaths. At last night’s meeting of the Opotiki Borotugh Council, a letter was received from the Whabntane Borough engineer giving costs of laying down concrete footpaths. It was stated that under certain conditions a sft. path could be laid at a cost of £5 per chain. The council decided to put down a block with a concrete path and to see what the cost would he.
