CAPE RUNAWAY MEETING SPECIAL AWARDS ANNOUNCED The following cups and trophies have been awarded to competitors in connection with the annual sheep dog trials held recently, at Cape by the Cape Runaway Club: — Cups Walker and Hall Cup.—Winner in Zig-Zag Huntway: At. Lruera’s Snag, 37£ points.
Champion Huntawny Cup. —F Maxwell's Sandy, 74 points.
Maiden Cup. —Maiden dog scoring most points in both liuntaway events : B. Callaghan’s Clyde, 03 points. Champion Heading Dog Cup.—l. Mead’s Tyke, 87 points. Maiden Cup.—Maiden dog scoring most points in Short Head and Yard: J. Weeks’ Lass,' 43 points.
Champion Dog Cup.—Dog scoring most points in two Huntaway events and Long Head: F. Maxwell’s Sandy, 82 points.
Best- Two-Dog Team Cup. — 11. Callaghan’s Clyde and Chang, 9lt points. Best Tliree-dog Team Cup. —M. Eruera’s Shag. Broad and Dark, Outpoints. Trophies Tim Hickey’s Trophy. —Novice scoring most- points in Classes I. and II.: H. Atkin’s Lou. 25 points. Clias. Morris’ Trophy. —Novice scoring most points in Classes Hi and IV.: N. Blake, 46 points.
F. Bridger's Trophy.—Local maiden competitor with maiden dog scoring most points in Classes I and II: S. Carlson’s Sharp. 44 points. H. H. Newell’s Trophy.—Same as above in Classes 111 and I V.: Clias. Walker’s Mack. 46-J- points. Clias. Shalloon’s Trophy.—Novice scoring most points at the meeting: N. Blake’s Blue, 46 points. <A. Shalloon’s Trophy.—Youngest competitor scoring 25 per cent, points in any one event: Topsy Blake’s Tim, 21 points. C. Dawson’s Trophy.—-Maiden competitor with maiden dog scoring most points at the meeting-: J. Swinton’s Nip, 72 points. Farmers’ Trading Ca.’s Trophy.— Competitor’s dog scoring most points at the meeting: F. Mead, 230 points.
