AMUSEMENTS
“ARTISTS AND MODELS” “Artists-, and 'Models”, which screens at the jfe Luxe Ineatie on Saturday and features Jack Bennj, Martha itaye, Ida 1 Lupino, Gail Paxlick, Bichard Anon, Yacht Chib Boys, Sandra Storme and Louis Armstrong’s Band, is the best song and dance show of this or any year. The lavish settings and ensembles are eye-filling, the musicy and song hits are tuneful and the romance is gay. Most of the credit for the entertainment quality must go to Jack Benny for Jiis good-natured clowning which will- keep you in good , humour. Several specialty acts have been introduced. Martha Rave singing “Public Melody No. I”, Andre Kostelanetz -and his Xorchostra; the “Pcrsanett.es,” a dancing doll act- and Zudy, Anne and Zoke, of radio fame. Here is a bright show to please ail tastes. “BLAZING SIXES” “Blazing Sixes” —and -that means six-guns pouring out their deadly contents as horsemen gallop and stage coaches rumble along. “Blazing Sixes” which screens at tuo De Luxe theatre on Saturday is another triumph for that! 6 foot, red-lieaded Singing Cowboy, Dick Foran, the Warner Bros, rkling, roping- and shooting star . It., is a story of the West of 1890 and Dick Foran, as usual, is outstanding. He rides magnificently, .-acts as the real modest hero, and even finds time to sing two songs—“ln a Little Prairie Town” and “Bidin’ On to Monterey”—written especially for him by r M; K. , Jerome and Jack Scholl.
