CRASH IN LIFT
CORSET FACTORY WORKER - LONDON. May 21. When 15 women, laughing together after listening, to a concert in the assembly hall at the Spirolla corset works. Letcliworth Garden. City, Herts, crowded into a goods lift to. go down to the dining-room last night, the lift shuddered and crashed 1 45ft. to the bottom of the .shaft. Six women were taken to Letchworth Hospital. Three were detained with sprained and dislocated ankles.
