VISIT BY S.A. COMMISSIONER

MEET ING AI) DRESSED

(Contributed)

In, spite of inclement weather, a good attendance was registered en .Monday night at the Salvation Army, when the territorial leaders, Commissioner and Mrs Adams, conducted a public meeting. The theme of the gathering was distinctly “Salvation.” and in word and song, vital truths were made evident.

Accompanying the Commissioner, was the territorial Bay of Plenty inspector, Colonel Seotney, who emphatically spoke of his personal experience of Jesus Christ. Mrs Adams also gave a helpful message. The earnest address of our visitor, based on the Bible, revealed the need of the Christian Church to-day, and more serious endeavour was called for.

The meeting concluded with the singing of “All,Hail the Power of Jesu’s Name”, awl the Rev. Wilson conducted the Benediction.
