INTER-CLUB MATCHES VISIT BY TANE/ATUA AND WAIM'ANA PJiA,YJilts ’l’cams from the Waimana nnd Tanontua Golf Clubs visited Opotiki during the week-end and met, teams representing the Opotiki Club: Ihe local players hud rather easy wins in both morning and afternoon. At the conclusion ol the games, Mr Mitchell, of the Waimana. Club, thanked the Opotiki Cluli for the very enjoyable day and assured Opotiki players they would receive a hearty welcome on the return visit to AYaimann. Air Hunt, of the Tanentua Club, also expressed thanks to the Opotikj Club lor the enjoyable day. Air A. X. Davies, president of the Opotiki- Club, said all had enjoyed the visit, the number of players taking part being a record .lor the links. Cheers and counter cheers were given, and tin- ladies were also thanked for their assistance dtiriyg the afternoon.
