( MONTHLY MEETING The usual monthly meeting of the W.D.F.XJ. was held in 1 the Parish Hall on Thursday afternoon, Mrs. A. F. Martin presiding. The meeting opened with the Creed, and the minutes of the previous meeting and general business was dealt witln -Mrs Martin read, the Dominion Vive-Presulcnt’s progressive report, and papers on the coming conference >voro read by Mrs Fox. The conference will lie attended by Miss M. Bockett and Miss It. Lambert, the chosen delegates. A letter was read from the Disabled'Returned Soldiers, asking il they would accept their goods to sell. ./It was decided to reply that they Hvouid at-, copt the goods and endeavour to dispose of them. j A Roll Call on the use^pFlemons brought forth many helpful suggestions. Miss K. Lambert was the; winner of a guessing competition and the winners of the flower competitions were Single, Mrs Newth 1, Mrs Mlaxwell 2 and Miiss K. Lambert •j. Shrubs, Mrs Maxwell 1, Miss K. Lambert 2, -Mrs Burgess 3. Mis Maxwell was placed fust in the toffee competition with Mil's Barbour 2. iA no tlier toffee competition was won by Miss K. Lambert with Mrs C. Hill seeontl. Mrs Lowe: was the winner of Dm buttonhole competition with Mrs Martin second and Miiss K. Lambert. third. The hostesses wore Miss M/. Bockett and Miss K. Lambert, who "ore accorded a vote of thanks.
