A MILD WINTER
NO FROSTS IN GISBORNE Gisborne's winter up to the present lias been an exceptionally mild one and some interesting facts concerning the season are supplied by the records kept by East Coast Airways’ meteorological observer, states the aid.
So far this year no frosts have been ■registered at the aerodrome, whereas until this time last year 19 frosts had been recorded there, including one of 12 degrees on June 6. which proved the heaviest frost during the 1937 winter.
