W A lOTA HI ANNUAL The annual meeting' of the Waiotalii Women’s Institute was held hi the Waiotahi Hall on Wednesday, March 9. Business was dealt with and arrangements for the forthcoming J federation meeting discussed. MVs. It. Smith was elected delegate to the Dominion Conference in Wellington. . The balance-sheet and secretary’s report were read and adopted.

The officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows : —President, M!rs. C. White. Secretary, Mrs. Burke. Treasurer, Mrs. W.' L. Looney. Vice-presidents, Mesdames Pi. Smith and Li. V. Looney. Committee: Mesdames # J Anderson, Wells," Logan,. Moore and Miss B. Du Pontet. Library committee-.. Miss B. Du Pontet, Mys V. Wilson and Miss Moore. Stall committee ? Mesdames Cunningham and- Jessop. Press correspondent: Miss M. Du Pontet. ) The points prize for the year was tied for by jMts. - Watson, Misses H. Eason and B. Du Pontet, who each received a prize. The “Blast Bloom” prize for the year, donated- by Mrs. Burke was won by Mrs W. L. Looney. Mrs. Smith’s competition fSr the best knitted article was judged by Mrs. G. Vanstouie and M'rs. Beattie, the results being: Miss M. Du Pontet •.’Shetland shawl) 1, Miss B. Du Puutet (bed jacket) 2. Best Bloom: Mrs. W. L. Looney (protea) 1, Miss M. Du Ponte i (dahlia 2.
