The ordinary meeting of this Committee was held on Monday evening ln st. Present —Messrs Prichard (m the chair), ' Ancall, Eh wles, Barnes, and De n.- ; - :■'■ The Master's rejport was received,- showing, ihe average attendance to be 152, and the number on the books IJB. The Committee decided to bring the compulsory clauses of the Act. into force, and to summdn the parents of chiidreri who did not attend. • ; ■'•■. ;, Mr Forbes tendered his resignation, which the Committee accepted with much regret. Mr James . Grimwood- was elected to fill the vacancy. \.. ..-.„ .-....•..'.. Correspondence "from" the Education Board informed the Committee that tenders would be called for the alterations to the School, and that a large bell would be supplied.
