The usual monthly meeting of this. Committee was held m the Schoolroom on Tuesday last;.^ all the members being _r ee_it. . ' ihe minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Schoolmaster's report was read, showing that the attendance had increased very considerably, the average for the month .being. 165, the number on the roll 201, the M>hest attendance 192; also, that notices were being sent out to the parents of c uldren who do not attend regularly. It was decided that Miss Seymour's resignation be accepted with regret, and that Miss Seymour be asked to retain her p sition until the annual examination, was over. ...•-'•-' The Chairman. reported that the drains had been cleaned out us desired ; that the Board had supplied the Committee with two splendid maps, as applied for ; that he hi.d sent the Siipeiintendent'of. the St. Andrew's Sunday School a draft of agreement embodying the conditions on. which the School was let, but it had not as yet been returned 5 ; that he had an interview with James P.egg..ahd. Mrs .Barrett, respecting tile .cleaning of the ...School, and found .• that Mr Pegg was agreeable "to carry out the work he is now doing for .£8 instead of the .£ll 10s now paid, and that Mrs Barrett wa< agreeable to do the extra cleaning and washing for the same price as she is now getting. It was, therefore, decided to accept their, offers, .as they are both doing the work y.ery, satisfactorily, . It was decided to ailow _33 "out ,of the rent that is likely to. accrue frprh jbhe use of the School on Sundays fbr prizes. Mr W.
