TE AROHA TOURNAMENT.
At the Te Aroha tournament, in the first round Paeroa A met Morrinsville A and were defeated by a penalty corner. Te Aroha B defeated Paeroa B by 2 goals to nil, Edwards scoring both goals for Te Aroha B. Te Aroha A beat Hamilton by 3 goals to nil, Simpson (2) and Scott notching the goals.
Morrinsville met Te Atoha B in the semi-final and were victorwus by one goal (shot by Humphries) to'nil. A game between Hamilton and Pae-
roa, which ended in a draw (aue goal each) kept the spectators ' interested until Te Aroha A and Morrinsvil'e took the field for the final, which was won by Te Aroha/by two goals to nil. ■"
On Saturday next the Te Aroha team
will play the local club at Paeroa, commencing at 2.30 p.m. The Hamilton ladies will also try conclusions with the Paeroa ladies, and so good exhibition
in both cases are assured. \ The following players will represent!,
the local teams :—
Forwards, Browne, Phillips, A. Whitmore, Hubbard, and Hargraves ; halves, Kennedy, J. Whitmore, and R. Darroch; backs, Lowery and W. Kenny; goalkeeper, H. Rusden.
Ladies' Team : Forwards, Misses A. Kenny, E. Wallis, U. Chamberlain, O. Walmsley, and D. Kenny; halves, Misses B. Walmsley, M. Thorp, E. Tonge ; backs, Misses J. Hamilton and A. Nelson; goal keeper, Miss N. Goonan Miss F. Walmsley (back) and Miss E. Thorpe (forward).
