One member at least of the Ohinemuri County Council is not impressed with the manner in which Government grants are spent by the Public Works Department, as be remarked at yesterday's meeting of the Council that "the Council could get as much work done for £s°° as tHe Government could for The matter arose in connection with a request from Government that the Council would undertake the spending Of certain grants, and the Conncil willingly undertook the responsibility of spending the money.
