SERIOUS ACCIDENT.

[By Electric Telegraph.]

Waihi, April 29,

A bushman named Albert E. Price, employed in the Kauri Timber Company's Waitawheta bush, near Waikmo, met with a serious accident yesterday. Price was jacking a log when a spear jack broke, causing the log to roll back, throwing the jack against Price's leg with terrific force, and breaking the limb below the knee. Price was conveyed to Owharoa by his mates, then placed in a vehicle, by which he was taken to the Waihi hospital.
