Hamilton, April 29,

William Dallen Elliott (alias Wilis), charged with being unlawfully on premises in Hamilton East and refusing to leave, also with assaulting Dr Wilkin by hitting him on the face and kicking him, and using obscene language, was on the first charge convicted and dis-

charged. On the second he received two months' imprisonment, and on the third four months, these sentences to be cumulative. Dr Wilkin went to call

on a patient in the house in question, when he encountered accused, who was abusive, and on being ordered to leave the place, struck the doctor, got htm down, and in a drunken frenzy would probably have killed him but ior the timely arrival of Dr. Going, who rescued Dr. Wilkin.
