BEAU LE HAVRE
Special to the Daily Times WELLINGTON, Dec. 9. Most of the North Island horses raced at the Canterbury Jockey Clubs New Zealand Cup meeting at Riccarton returned in the Rangatira to-day. They included the New Zealand Cup and Churchill Stakes winner Beau le Havre, who was the centre. of attraction when he was unloaded. The horse left immediately by float for Stratford, where he is to be rested for a few days; His trainer, Mr J. G. Farrell, stated that nothihg definite had been decided about his Auckland programme. "Beau le Havre has great recuperative powers, and I expect him to pick up quickly with the run of a good grass paddock I have shut up at home for him, said Mr Farrell. The trainer added that a start in the Auckland Cup, which was still 17 days away, would depend on how well his charge did at home during the next two weeks. The Trentham Jockey, K. R. Ford, has been engaged to ride Lord Barwon in the Auckland Cup at Ellerslle on Boxing Day.
