Runaway Plane Losses Pilot and Makes Two-hour Flight
NEW YORK, Rec. 11 p.m. Dec. 8. A plane which threw its pilot after landing and soared off into the blue on its own is reported to have crashed about 65 miles south-east of Tyler (Texas) this afternoon. The aircraft had spent two hours forty minutes on its solo jaunt, and suffered only slight damage to its landing gear and wings after it ran out of petrol. The pilot suffered a sprained neck when he was thrown from the plane after the first landing.
