It was the best gallop of the morning. Victory Star was more impressive than Manatorie over five furlongs in lmin 7sec. Royal Saint easily held Pestee in a half-mile spin in 54 2-ssec. On the sand, Triumphal galloped five furlongs in lmin 7sec. Among other horses on the track were Red Pickle, Fine Night, Detain and Lovemorn. but none of them were stretched out.
