Russia Feared as Future Aggressor Against Holland

Rec. 11 p.m. BACftTIO, Dec. 8. The Dutch feared not future aggression from Germany but from Russia, said Dr H. C. Gelissen, the chief Netherlands delegate to the United Nations Economic Commission for Asia and the Far East. “In past centuries Holland has been the victim of repeated aggressions Roman, Spanish and French. Each had its day but did not bother us again. We want a prosperous but not militarily strong Germany. That is essential to our own prosperity. But it looks like the next aggression we have to look forward to Is Russian.” Dr Gelissen will attend the forthcoming German reparations conference in Brussels.
