LONG SERVICE ENDING
FORMER AUSTRALIAN PREMIER MR JAMES SCULLIN TO RETIRE SYDNEY, Dec. 8. Mr. James Scullin, Federal Labour member for Yarra for 25 years, and a former Prime Minister, will not stand at the next Federal election, because of ill-health. This has been announced by the campaign director after a special meeting of the Yarra Labour Campaign Council. In a letter to the council, Mr. Scullin said that his doctor had advised against a continuance of public life..
