MARCH IN ROME

COMMUNIST DEMONSTRATION PARTISANS FROM NORTHERN ITALY Rec. 9 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 8 Shouting “ death to de Gasperi. Long live Stalin.” a crowd of partisans from Northern Italy, estimated to number upwards of 30,000, yesterday marched for two hours through Rome's main streets in a parade sponsored by the Communist Party, says the Rome correspondent of the Daily Mail. The force was commanded by “ political commissars.” including Mussolini’s executioner, Walter Audisio. The correspondent adds that the pretext for the new march on Rome was the Congress of Resistance Fighters. The real purpose was to give emphasis to the threat of a general strike on December 10.
