SCIENTISTS RETURN

VISIT TO SNARES

TRIP ENTIRELY SUCCESSFUL PA. INVERCARGILL, Dec. 7. “ The trip was entirely successful for everyone, and our main object, the collection of material for an exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, was carried out in full,” said Dr R. A. Falla, director of the Dominion Museum, when the scientific expedition which has spent the last fortnight at the Snares, 56 miles south of Stewart Island, returned to Bluff in the vessel Alert to-day.

Although hampered during the first week by bad weather, the party carried out much valuable research on the islands.
