EXPLOSIVES TRADE

DIESEL SHIP TO BE BOUGHT P.A. ' AUCKLAND, Dec. 5. The first fully-powered ship to be used by Imperial Chemical Industries, Ltd., in the Tasman explosives trade, the 922-ton motor ship Bingrs, is expected to join the company’s fleet next month. The New Zealand manager, Mr N. J. Campbell, said the transfer from the Australasian United Steam Navigation Company, of Melbourne, would take place in January. Mr Campbell will inspect the vessel before the sale. The company for many jears has maintained the Tasman service with the auxiliary schooners Huia and Piri, and has used the auxiliary ketch Miro on the coast.
