AIR CREW STRIKE
WIRELESS OPERATORS NO SERVICES TO-DAY P.A. AUCKLAND, Dec. 5. As a reply to the employers' lettei containing their attitude to the strike by the air-crew radio operators of Tasman Empire Airways, Ltd., and National Airways Corporation had not been received from the union, the service from Auckland to Sydney tomorrow morning was cancelled at 11 o’clock t-night. This decision was announced by the general manager of the company, Mr G. N. Roberts, after a meeting of the board of directors, at which a reply to the union’s request was drafted and forwarded to the advocate, Mr J. H. Collins. Another service affected by the strike, and which has also been suspended, is that operated by the corporation between Auckland and Suva.
