INCREASED PROFIT SHOWN Daily Times Special Service CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 4. An increase in net profit from £74,837 to £76,738 arid a dividend increase of 1 per cent are noted in the accounts of Ballin’s Breweries (N.Z.), Lad., for the year ended September 30. Dividends aggregating 7 per cent, absorb £17,036, against 6 per cent, last year, taking £13,597. The carry-forward at £21,149 is up £5197 on the previous year. Stocks are up from £43,210 to £53,849, and provision for taxation is £43,000, against £48,000. The directors will convene a special meeting of shareholders on December 18 to consider the passing of a resolution increasing the capital of the company to £350,000 by the creation of a further 100,000 shares of £1 to repay the company’s debentures maturing on December 1.
