RED CROSS NOTES

On Wednesday evening the V.A.D. Choir, conducted by Mr James Clark, sang Christmas carols and part songs at Ross Home Wakari Sanatorium, and , Montecillo Convalescent Home. Solos were also sung by Misses T. Paine, O. Whittington, R. Shrimpton and M. Shrimpton. The accompanist was Miss Mary Frazer. Next Friday the V.A.D.’s will hold a bring-and-buy sale in a shop in the T. and G. Buildings, Princes street. Red Cross members will contribute sweets, flowers, produce and cakes, also gifts for (he work stall. Proceeds are for V.A.D. funds. Members of the Concord Junior Red Cross held a bring-and-buy sale of fancy and useful articles, sweets, produce and flowers, which raised £l2 for the Junior Red Cross funds. Naseby juniors have collected a case of food for Britain and Broad Bay juniors made a donation and gifts to be sent to leper children.
