REPERTORY SOCIAL EVENING

The Dunedin Repertory Society held its final social evening for the year in the Concert Chamber last night. Two oneact plays were performed. The first was a fantasy by J. B. Priestley, entitled “ The Rose and the Crown,” and was produced by Miss Bessie Thomson. Those taking part were Misses Betty Dillon, Dawn McAra, Margaret Ufton, and Messrs D. Hobbs, J. Weipers, K. Howden and G. Ritchie. The next item was a song by Mr C. Sparrow, accompanied by Mrs Geoffrey Reid. The second play, “ The Trollop’s Triumph,” was produced by Mr D. Grcenslade, and the cast were Roa Johnson, B. McKenzie, M. Joel and P. Dawson. The evening concluded with supper and dancing.
