EARLY SETTLERS

Final Meeting of Year The president, Mr R. B. Meek, presided at the final meeting for the year of the North Otago Early Settlers’ Association He mentioned the need for a larger hall for meetings, and said that gifts had been offered to the association if a place could be found to house them. The address was given by the Rev. L. W. Rothwell, whose subject was “ How Old Are You? ”, in which he spoke of the importance of looking ahead, not living in the past. Items were given by Mesdames Milne, Neill, Souness, Miss B. Butterfield, Messrs Thompson and R. L. Sowden. The accompanist was Mrs Patterson.
