APPEAL TO COURT

NATIONALISING OF BANKS MAY NOT BE HEARD UNTIL FEBRUARY Rec. 9 p.m. , SYDNEY, Dec. 1. Doubt is being expressed in legal circles to-day whether the test on the bank nationalisation legislation will come before the full bench of the High Court this year. It is suggested that there is so much procedure to be bridged that a general hearing may not come on until the High Court sittings in Melbourne in February. Victoria is claiming that the legislation is invalid as infringing the Commonwealth Constitution, the sovereign rights of States, and the financial agreements made between the Commonwealth and the States.
