DOMINION’S CONSTITUTION BILL BEFORE LORDS Rec. 9 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 1. The House of Lords on December 2 will be asked to give precedence over all other business to the New Zealand Constitution (Amendment) Bill, which Lord Addison introduced last weeK, says The Times parliamentary correspondent. The New Zealand Parliament last week adopted sections 2 to 6 of the Statute of Westminster and passed a further Act asking that the United Kingdom Parliament should legislate to relieve New Zealand of the restrictions remaining under an amended Act of 1857. This request, is being promptly acted upon.' The Bill, which will be considered on December 2, proposes to repeal the New Zealand Constitution (Amendment) Act, 1857, and make it lawful for the New Zealand Parliament to “ alter, suspend or repeal at any time, all or any of the provisions of the New Zealand Constitution Act, 1852.” The new Bill will remove the last Constitutional restrictions on the Dominion of New Zealand.
