WELLINGTON, Nov. 27. Tne Woodville District Jockey Club has received excellent acceptances for the first day of its spring meeting on Saturday. Divisions have been provided for ir. the Maiden Stakes and the Mangarawa Hack Handicap, but it is unlikely that they will be necessary in the latter event. The track should provide fast going. Betting will be wln-and-place, and the favourites may include:— 11.15: Mangaatua Hack Hurdles.—Broiefort Star, Sir Wina, Tavern Light. 12: Maiden Stakes.—First division: Eastern Rose, Avenger. Second division: Flying Faye, Cheery Lass. 12.45: Bolton Handicap.—Silver Rod, Lowry Bay, Morotai. 1.30: Nursery Handicap—Saravan, Rappel, Vadoz. 2.15: Orete Handicap.—Theocritus. The Grand, Trig Point. 3: Mangarawa Hack Handicap.—Treneere, Lady Oratory, Red Herring. 3.45: Borough Hack Handicap.—Concrete, Night School, Meteorina. 4.30: Wharlti Hack Handicap.—Lackagh, Dawn March, Revivre.
