REMOVAL TO PALESTINE
JEWISH CHILDREN IN CYPRUS Rec. 10 p.m. NEW YORK, Nov. 23. According to the Jerusalem correspondent of the New York HeraldTribune, the British authorities have agreed to allow 2800 Jewish children held in Cyprus camps for illegal immigrants to enter Palestine immediately. Five hundred of the children are .three years or under, and the agreement includes permission for their parents to enter as well. The effect will be to remove all children under three from the camps, all orphans and all unaccompanied children, leaving behind only children between the ages of three and eighteen who have with them one parent or both. The British decision was taken on humanitarian grounds after long negotiations with the Jewish Agency. Under the terms of the agreement adjustments will be made to immigration quotas *in such a way that in the long run they will not be exceeded.
