ALLIED WAR PRISONERS

BODIES FOUND IN MASS GRAVES Rec. 11.45 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 23. Officials of the International Refugees’ Organisation discovered the bodies of about 13,000 Allied war prisoners from seven countries m 68 mass graves in a wood near Hammelburg, reports Reuter’s correspondent at Hammelburg. British, French, Italians, Belgians and Yugoslavs were among the bodies. . Officials discovered the graves and when checking old records found thal thousands of the Hammelburg camp s 23,500 war prisoners had disappeared. One grave contained the bodies of about 11,000 Russians.
