PARTY FOR ROYAL WEDDING
At the Otago Women’s Club yesterday afternoon a party was held to celebrate the Royal wedding. The president, Mrs Gerald Fitzgerald, welcomed the largegathering of members, and Mrs Wakefield Holmes also spoke. The National Anthem was then sung. A programme, arranged by Mrs L. Beaumont followed, items being given by Mrs Maurice Arthui (recitation),. a group from the Music Circle (songs), Mrs J. P. Walsh (violin solo), and Miss Meda Paine (songs) The accompanist was Mrs Eric Miller. Mrs Fitzgerald thanked Miss Beaumont and the performers, and the serving of tea concluded an enjoyable afternoon.
