RIVER REPORTS
GOOD PROSPECTS Reports received by the Otago Acclimatisation Society concerning the state of rivers indicate that conditions for anglers should be excellent during the week-end. WYNDHAM and MIMIHAU: Clear and in perfect order for fly fishing. MATAURA: Slightly up but in good order. POMAHAKA: Is in excellent order. WAIPAHI: Very low with weed showing up. GATLINS and OWAKA: A little below normal level but in excellent order. ' SHAG: Low and clear and day fishing very difficult, better prospects in the evening. MAHINERANGI DAM: Continuing to rise. Good sport with bait fishing in the day-time and the big fly at night. WAIPORI LAKE: Good prospects with bully or natural minnow.
