PROCESSION ORDER
WEDDING OF PRINCESS
FULL DETAILS ANNOUNCED Rec. 8 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 17. The Lord Chamberlain, the Earl of Airlie, announced that the arrangement of the various processions on the occasion of the marriage of her Royal Highness Princess Elizabeth will be:— Carriage Procession of the Queen from Buckingham Palace.— Glass coach: The Queen and Princess Margaret. First carriage: The King of Norway, and the Queen of the Hellenes. Second carriage: The King and Queen of Denmark. Third carriage: The Mistress of the robes, the Lady of the Bedchamber, the Master of Horse, and the Lond Chamberlain to the Queen. Procession of Queen Mary from Marlborough House.—First motor car: Queen Mary and the Princess Royal. Second motor car: the Mistress of the Robes, the Lady of the Bedchamber, the Comptroller and the Equerry. Third motor car: Princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard. Fourth motor car: The Crown Prince and the Crown Princess of Sweden. Fifth motor car: The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. Carriage Procession of the Bride.— Irish coach: The King and her Royal Highness the bride. First carriage: Two Ladies in Waiting, a Lord in Waiting. Second carriage: A Groom in Waiting and the Equerry in Waiting, and the secretary to the bride. Within the Abbey Princess Elizabeth will walk up the aisle with her father. The bride’s procession within the Abbey will be the Comptroller of the Lord Chamberlain’s office, the Master of the Household, the King’s Scholars choir, minor canons, canons, verger canons, the High Bailiff of Westminster, the Chapter Clerk, the High Steward of Westminster, the Dean's verger, the Dean of Westminster, the bride and her father, pages, the bridesmaids, two Ladies in Waiting to the bride, the Private Secretary to the bride, the King’s suite, the Groom in Waiting, the Lord in Waiting, and two Equerries in Waiting. The procession of the bride and bridegroom out of the Abbey will be: King’s Scholars choir, minor canons, canons, verger canons, the High Bailiff of Westminster, the Chapter Clerk, the High Steward of Westminster, the Dean's verger, the Dean of Westminster, the bride and bridegroom, pages, bridesmaids, and groomsman.
The procession of the King and Queen, Queen Mary and other royalty out of the Abbey will be headed by two Gentlemen Ushers. Then will come the assistant Comptroller, the Comptroller of the Lord Chamberlain’s office, the Vice-Chamberlain, the Treasurer and Comptroller of His Majesty’s Household, the Master of Horse, the Lord Chamberlain and the Lord Steward. Then will come the King and Queen. Queen Mary, Princess Andrew of Greece, the King of Norway, the King of Denmark, the Queen of Denmark, the Queen of the Hellenes, Mistress of the Robes to Queen Mary, the Lord Chamberlain to the Queen, Mistress of the Robes, a Woman of the Bedchamber, a Lady of the Bedchamber, a Groom in Waiting, a Lord in Waiting. the Comptroller and the Equerry to Queen Mary, a Lady of the Bedchamber in Waiting to Queen Mary, the private secretary to the Queen, two Ladies in Waiting to the bride, the private secretary to the bride, the Eauerry in Waiting, Foreign royal guests and members of the Royal Family will follow, and two Gentlemen will end the procession. Return to Palace Har Royal Highness the bride and the bridegroom will return to Buckingham Palace in the glass coach. The carriage procession of the King and Queen to the Palace will be of six carriages as follows:—lrish coach: The King and Queen. First carriage: The King of Norway and the Queen of the Hellenes. Second carriage: The King and Queen of Denmark. Third carriage: Mistress of the Robes, Lady of the Bedchamber, Master of Horse, and the Lord Chamberlain to the Queen. Fourth carriage: Two Ladies in Waiting to the bride and a Lord in Waiting. Fifth carriage: The Groom in Waiting, Equerry in Waiting, and the private secretary to the bride. Queen Mary will be accompanied by the Princess Royal in the return carriage procession and will be followed by foreign royal guests and other members of the Royal Family.
