WIDESPREAD DAMAGE
TYPHOON IN PHILIPPINES MANILA, Nov. 15..
A typhoon whirling across Northern Luzon left minor damage in Manila, but fragmentary reports indicate widespread damage in the provinces. The United States army evacuated aircraft froip Manila to Zamboanga and Okinawa as the typhoon struck. Waves pounded over Manila’s sea wall and many sectors of the city were flooded. The typhoon cut railway lines north and south of the city.
