GREEN ISLAND ELECTIONS

Sir, —1 was greatly impressed with a pamphlet distributed in Green Island by Mr Miller, who is contesting the seat for Mayor. He suggests tar-sealing all the streets in the borough as funds permit. Well, I think this a good suggestion as the North Taieri road-Abbotsford carries all the heavy traffic—sand pit, coal mines and the Abbotsford Tileries and buses. The dust we have to endure in fine weather is shocking. I have seen mothers with little ones going from the boundary to Green Island with their prams and they are in ' a continual dust storm all the way. This is one of many sound suggestions put forth by Mr Miller and 1 hope he is successful at the poll on Wednesday.—l am, etc., A Victim.
