UNION COMMITTEE

At the monthly meeting of the committee of the Dunedin Lawn Tennis Union final arrangements were made for the gala day at the Aotea Club's courts on November 22, in aid of the union’s Court Building Fund. L. Hope, the quarterly meeting with representatives of the Otago Basketball Association was held. Mr R. W. Facer reported that the whole area for 20 courts at St. Hilda for use by both bodies had now been levelled, and the 12-court area consolidated. The work of covering the balance would be completed in the’near future. From the financial statement presented by Mr Pritchett, it was evident that additional funds would be required to meet the cost of laying the courts, and methods of raising the required amount were discussed.
