ASSOCIATION MEETING At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Otago Lawn Tennis Association Mr F. L. C. Scrivener was in tha chair and 10 delegates were present. The president welcomed Mr J. E. Robson, New Zealand Davis Cup representative, to the meeting. As it was not possible to have the three members of the New Zealand Davis Cup team at Dunedin on November 22, it was decided to approach the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association to have exhibition games played at Dunedin on January The Country Week proposal was abandoned as the association was already committed to a heavy programme. Mr Scrivener gave a report On the junior match between teams from the Otago Lawn Tennis Association and the Dunedin Lawn Tennis Union and commented on the high standard of play. A suggestion was received from the Southland Lawn Tennis Association that the annual match between the Otago and Southland Sub-associations be played at Invercargill, on December 13. The New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association advised that the Wilding Shield Challenge Match with Hutt Valley on November 28 and 29 had been granted to Wellington. . , .. . Attention was drawn to the fact that a large number of teams were not forwarding their results to the daily newspapers and the broadcasting stations.
