In addition monthly increments of Id a bushel will be paid for white oats sold on specified dates up- to a maximum of ss. The price of malted barley of specified varieties and of good malting and brewing qualities had been increased from last year’s price of 5s 6d ( to 6s 3d f.o.r.s.e. for the current season. The ceiling price for other varieties will be 6s. The Minister said the basic prices of 6s for inferior varieties and 6s 3d for superior varieties would be subject to the same price differentials as previously, according to the areas in which the barley is grown and the method of threshing used.
