Queue for Beer At West Coast Hotel
Special to the Daily Times GREYMOUTH, Nov. 14. The latest queue to become a reality at Greymouth is that outside an hotel for beer. Greymouth’s sole sixpenny hotel was without stocks of any description until late yesterday afternoon, and when new supplies came to hand from Dunedin and were tapped about 5 o’clock a total of about 80 men had queued up outside the premises. The doors had been closed for the period when the hotel had been without beer supplies, and this was responsible for the formation of the queue.
