DATE DEFERRED

REGULATION ENFORCEMENT P.A. WELLINGTON, Nov. 12. “ It has been agreed to delay the date of the introduction of the new tramway loading regulations in Wellington and to' discuss the matter further," said the Minister of Works, Mr Semple to-day. “So far as the Government is concerned it would be difficult enough to organise everything so .that a start could be made on December 1, and as local authorities desire a little more time to prepare, I am agreeable to meet their wishes.

The Wellington Tramway Emloyees’ Union had no objection to the enforcement of the tramways loading regulations being deferred until early January, said P. A. Hansen, secretary of the union. The union had always been of the opinion that the introduction of the new regulations need not be until after the new year.
