Oct. 1. “ The State Advances Corporation, which is responsible for the administration of the scheme, adyises that applications have been received from various parts of the Dominion, and are being dealt with by the local organisations established for the purpose,” said the Minister in Charge of the Stale Advances Corporation. Mr H. T. Armstrong, in the House of Representatives to-day, when replying to Mr W. S. Goosman (Opposition, Waikato). who asked if he had received applications under the special arrangements for advances to farmers for increasing production. Mr Goosman gave notice asking for a return of the amount applied for under the scheme and the amount granted. ______________
