OBITUARY

MR CHERRY KEARTON The death is reported from London of Mr Cherry Kearton, naturalist, author, explorer, inventor, photographer and lecturer. He was the first man to illustrate natural history books throughout by photography, and was a pioneer kinematographer of big game and wild life pictures in their natural surroundings right across the world. He made the first aerial picture record over London in a dirigible, in 1905. He was the author of a number of books on wild life subjects.
