, MONTHLY SOCIAL The monthly social ana dance of the Scottish Society of Dunedin was held on Saturday in the Victoria Hall, a large number of members and friends being present. The executive was piped to the platform by the official piper, Mr H Crawford, and Piper J. McVean. The president, Mr E. McKenzie, occupied the chair and Was assisted by the vice-presi-dent, Mr Simon Wright. Mr W, T. Smith past president, also welcomed those present and moved a vote of thanks to the artists who assisted in making the evening such a success. Items were given by Miss Sadie Hill (elocution) Miss D Greer (piano-accordion), Mr W, H, Fyfe (song) sailor’s hornpipe by Miss Jessie Brown, and Highland fling by Miss Joyce Leishman. Supper was provided by the Ladies' Social Committee under Mrs S. Hill. Dancing was enjoyed for the remainder of the evening, the masters of ceremonies being Mr J. T. Ramsay and Mr G McCrae. -.,
