HOMING PIGEON CLUB
RACE FROM CHRISTCHURCH The Ounedin Homing Pigeon Club flew a flock race from Christchurch on Saturday. Mr D. Cunningham liberated 177 birds, representing 18 lofts, in overcast weather and a south-west wind. The winning bird flew the 200 miles In shr 23min at a velocity of 1101 yards per minute: The results were as follows:—-H. Millard's Last Blue 1, W. Hargreaves's Leith Nola and J. Ramsay's Doon Pride (equal) 2, L. Tonks's Hyde Lady 4, M. Anderson** Hill Gem 5.
